I have just keyed the info into a seiko date calculator and here are the results

Your watch was most likely produced in September of 1988 or 1998. It is often difficult to determine when Seiko stopped making a particular movement. You can also use the style of the watch and any known history of ownership as clues to narrow down the decade.

Which do we think it is then 88 or 98 ? ?

its march 1991.....the clue is the punch mark at the "91" on the caseback Razz
